Ausangate 7 Lagoons

Between 4:00 and 4:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. We will take our transportation (approximately 3.5 hours) to Pacchanta, the local comnunity close to Apu Ausangate. The Ausangate mountain is the fourth highest peak in Peru (6,372m / 20,905ft) and is considered the owner and protector of the entire Cusco region.

We will have together with the group breakfast before we start with our hiking adventure. The walk will take about 4.5 hours, passing by the colourful lakes of Otorongo Macho, Otorongo Hembra, Puca Cocha, Alga Cocha, Q’omer Cocha, Azul Cocha, and Pata Cocha. During our hike, we will enjoy the beautiful landscape of the high Andes Mountains, admiring the incredible scenery of the snow capped Ausangate Mountain. Our professional guide will share with us his knowledge about the history and fascinating facts. After our hike, we will return to the community of Pacchanta for lunch, and relax in the hot pools (optional) with breathtaking mountain views. We will drive back to Cusco and drop you off at Plaza Regocijos.
